I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and elements of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) — which are versions of CBT — to help clients develop practical skills, build self-awareness, and create meaningful, sustainable change. My therapeutic style is down-to-earth, collaborative, and calm, yet I also actively engage in the process with clients — helping people understand what is actually going on in their lives as well as ways to set goals that feel useful and doable.
I work with adults experiencing depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, intimate partner violence, relationship difficulties, and the big life transitions that can leave you feeling overwhelmed or unsure of yourself. I have a special interest in supporting women navigating perinatal mental health concerns, including stress related to pregnancy and childbirth, perinatal anxiety or depression, and pregnancy loss.
The stress of being a new parent, the push and pull of an important relationship, unmet expectations, or events outside of your control can upend a person’s life. Whether you are facing a monumental challenge, enduring a loss, or simply feel less like yourself, I believe that perspective is the key to healing. Above all, I recognize the importance of building a strong therapeutic relationship that provides safety, understanding, and the space for internal growth and resilience.
