We're hiring at our North Chesterfield location (hybrid)!
701 North Courthouse Road, Ste. 100
North Chesterfield, Va 23236
Pay and Benefits
- 60% of collected fees, with an average pay of $100,000. This rate has stayed steady for all clinicians over the last 3 years. Unlike national corporate practices, we are honest about how much you will actually make, and how many hours you will actually work. We do not bait-and-switch.
- 2 weeks paid vacation after the first 6 months at the practice.
- Health insurance through Anthem HealthKeepers with no-deductible, dental, and vision options.
- 401(k) with employer contribution.
- This is a W2 position – you will not be an independent contractor – we pay employment taxes.
- Free CEs, treatment guides, and Liability Insurance.
- Target start date: September or October.
Intangible Benefits
- Free training and consistent weekly group supervision. It is ridiculous that we have to use the word “free.” Dr. Young has an open-door policy. You can ask him for advice or informal supervision any time, including evenings and weekends. You will not be expected to respond during your off-hours, except in very rare emergency cases. Other clinicians in the practice will provide the same, but might not be as available.
- No more Medicaid audits.
- Clinicians usually have a full caseload within 2 months. We are a very sought-after practice with several referral sources who only refer to us. Our Richmond and Charlottesville websites are consistently on the first page of Google. The start date will occur when we have our highest rate of intakes (September or October). We are flexible with transitions from previous employers. Some of our clinicians have transitioned by working part-time here and part-time there.
- Though we do have specialists who treat some significant cases of OCD and PTSD, we do not treat complex cases involving psychosis, personality disorders, significant substance abuse, or court-ordered clients. We also do not tolerate hostility towards our clinicians, which is exceedingly rare.
Job Requirements
- This is a hybrid position. You will be expected to see some in-person clients. You will also be able to work from home. The balance is up to your clients.
- Valid, unrestricted license to practice as an LCSW before your start date. You can apply now if licensure is coming up soon.
- No prior CBT experience required. We provide training and ample support. It’s easier to learn than it might sound. You might have heard that CBT is overly rigid or shallow. This is a consequence of clinicians not understanding CBT. You can read more about that topic here.
- Average 24 completed sessions per week is considered full-time. We are not hiring part-time.
- You choose Adults, Teens, Adolescents, or Children.
- You choose your clinical focus. We discourage therapists from working with clients or diagnoses that they do not want to treat.
- You choose your own schedule.
Our Philosophy
- Clinical ethics are not enough. We also strongly believe in business ethics. We will not prioritize profits over your happiness or our clients’ welfare.
- Happier therapists are better therapists.
- Our clients’ healing is more important than anything. So we need to know what we are doing. Being supportive and accepting is not enough.
- Support of therapists is paramount: this whole thing only works if the owner (Dr. Young) and the administrator (Cindy) make it work. Our priority is effective training, and making your job easy so that you can be good at it.
WE ARE NOT HIRING SUPERVISEES.
We cannot offer formal supervision for licensure, and we will not employ therapists who are being supervised by someone who is not in this practice. You can apply early for a licensed position, but please do not apply unless you intend to begin working here with an LCSW license.
