I work to provide a comfortable space where clients can discover their best selves and learn the
skills to bring them closer to their goals without judgment. My approach is CBT based,
person-centered and collaborative. I care about every aspect of you, with a commitment
towards understanding intersectionality and practicing cultural competence. I also hold an
advocate mindset and possess the ability to help clients understand how external stressors can
impact their functioning and mental health.

I enjoy creative ways of working with clients, often using an eclectic therapy approach by
combining different treatment techniques, approaches and proven methods to fit each client’s
unique needs while remaining goal oriented.

I offer lots of shared goal-setting and while I am heavily interested in a client’s current
functioning I have no issues diving into history to make sense of patterns and maladaptive
coping skills and challenge clients to create new healthier more sustainable ones.

Work History:

I earned my master’s degree in Social Work from The University of Connecticut. My career
started in foster care as a family support specialist before working in community mental health
with adolescents, teens and young adults. I am MATCH-ATDC (A CBT evidenced based
treatment approach designed for youths 6-17) trained and certified. I also have been trained in
in-home functional family therapy (FFT) providing intensive family counseling for identified
youths ages 10-17.

Personal:

I graduated from an arts based high school so I naturally spend my free time enjoying
arts and crafts, such as painting and clay work. I enjoy writing poetry, analyzing film, spending
time with my dog, traveling and rewatching tv shows that bring me joy.
